i give all my juice to my ps3 anyways

See, these are the phrases we need to be taught before we go abroad. How would I know that Nintendo products don’t enjoy a good Vitamin C bath?

"Many Japanese think their language is so unique that foreigners cannot grip its essence, its beauty or its subtlety. And if some foreigner claims that he has grasped that essence, nobody believes him. One reason they think that way is because Japan is a very homogenous country that has not been occupied by other countries except for a brief period after World War II. Its culture was not threatened by other cultures. So the Japanese language has been isolated. It has been isolated for maybe 2,000 years. That’s why Japanese are so certain about its uniqueness, its nature, its structure, its function. I think what some young Japanese writers are doing is trying to break, to destroy, that stubbornness, to rebel against that certainty."

Foreign Tongue Twisters: Tonari no …

languageshellyeah:

隣の客はよく書き食う客だ。Tonari no kyaku wa yoku kaki kuu kyaku da (Japanese): The customer next to me eats a lot of persimmons.

I’m SO sick of that guy. Him and his persimmons. Despicable.

柿-かき ‘kaki’ (persimmon)

Sorry, that was gonna drive me nuts. The kaki up there means ‘writing’ 書.

Another good one is 李も桃も桃のうち 桃も李も桃のうち。(すもももももももものうち、もももすももももものうち。) ‘Sumomo mo momo mo momo no uchi, momo mo sumomo mo momo no uchi.’

“Japanese plums are a type of peach and peaches are a type of peach.” lolwut
